The Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) is a state society affiliated with the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). Composed of 24 local chapters and eight student chapters, TSPE is the only active, established organization devoting its entire effort to the professional, ethical, economic, social and political aspects of engineering in Texas.

Who is Eligble for Membership?

You may become a member if you have either a valid license as a Professional Engineer in the U.S. or Canada, or an Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification issued under the laws of any state, territory, possession or district of the U.S., or its international equivalent. A person who has graduated with a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited engineering curriculum may also apply for provisional status as a member for up to two years to achieve the full requirements for member grade.

You may become a student member if you are a student enrolled full-time in an ABET-accredited engineering program or an engineering or pre-engineering program that has an articulated or transfer agreement with ABET or an accredited program; or a student enrolled full-time in a graduate level engineering program.
